Now we bring you developments from the French homebrew front: coder pspflashsystem has just rolled out version 3.0 of the application known as prxutility. This comes with several improvements and bug fixes.
For those who missed the previous coverage on this, prxutility is actually a utility program for the Sony PlayStation Portable. What it does, among other things, is alert users whenever the handheld's battery runs low.
A changelog for version 3.0 of the program has been provided by pspflashsystem. Here's a version of it, translated to English using an online language engine:
* New information added in the menu on the battery
* Information about the Mac Address your PSP
* Information on the WLAN your psp (possibility of whether the button on WLAN is on or off and
* if the WLAN is functioning normally)
* Information on the motherboard of your PSP (if it is a TA-79/81/82/86/85 or 85 V2 but for the TA-85 V2, failing slim psp with this motherboard I have not been able to verify if my prx recognizes this motherboard to verify)
* Adding a configuration file that allows you to customize the buttons for access to different menus: You can change the keys in the file located in pspflashsystem.system "ms0: / SEPLUGINS / prxutility + + / pspflashsystem.system."
* Note: * The buttons default to help display the menu are: L + NOTE
* The buttons default to display the menu information: NOTE VOLEUP + (= volume up)
* Use the "Notebook" to open this configuration file
* Everything is detailed in the configuration file pspflashsystem.system
* The bug of affchage which was that the texts overlapped when we went from one screen to another
* Improvements to the presentation in the menu information
That's about it for prxutility v3.0. Just be sure to give the Readme.txt file a good run through and translation to maximize the potential of this program.

Battery PRX Battery PRX
Custom firmware users had a treat with hallo07's nifty Battery PRX. To those of you who missed it from last time, Battery PRX lets users view the exact percentage of PSP's battery life from the XMB. We all know how much of a bummer it is whenever our handhelds die on us. So this really is very useful
PowerWatch PRX PowerWatch PRX
The plugin shows some useful info about your PSP's battery status. Users be warned that the plugin was developed only for custom firmwares and was specifically tested on M33's Custom Firmware 3.52. The developer also warns users not to flash the PRX
Hold+ Hold+
Sony PSP homebrew coder Torch has tipped us off that his Hold+ v2.6 battery saver plugin has been released. He tells us that it's a program he wrote some time ago for personal use, but he found the source while browsing through old stuff in his PC and decided to share it with us
Hold+ Hold+
Homebrew developer Torch recently dropped us a line to inform us that the latest version of the power saving plugin for the PlayStation Portable, Hold+, is now available for download.
Version 2.62 of the homebrew plugin fixes a bug found in the previous version, which shuts down the responsiveness of the Analog Up feature after opening the Photo menu in the XMB
Battery Warning Plugin Battery Warning Plugin

BatteryInfo BatteryInfo
Just a few days ago, homebrew developer placo23 released a very useful application, BatteryInfo, that lets PSP users check in on the battery status of their handhelds more effectively and accurately. Well, BatteryInfo is already updated (that was fast!), with some fixes that further enhances the user experience for this handy application
BatteryInfo BatteryInfo
Homebrew developer placo23 dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a little yet useful application known as BatteryInfo. Just like what its name says, this specific program provides PlayStation Portable owners their handheld's battery status on the XMB.
This is not the first time that we've seen applications similar to this 'round here
Battery PRX Homebrew shells such as iR Shell have an integrated battery monitor which tells you what percentage your battery is at, which can be very useful as you can see exactly how much power your PSP has before it will run out of juice
Hold+ Hold+
Torch dropped us a line earlier to announce that version 2.3 of Hold+ is now ready for download. This homebrew plugin, in case you weren't around during our previous coverage, allows you to temporarily power down several of the PSP's less important functions by just clicking on the hold switch.
