Swat-G and krush (aka .777. and Squeeker1) have released PSP Locker. This plug-in when activated in recovery mode prevents your PSP from switching on. You will have to go into recovery mode and disable the plug-in before you can power-up your PSP again.
While it might be a bit complicated (and dangerous) for less experienced PSP owners to use this plug-in, it can be a very useful tool when storing sensitive data on your handheld. In addition, it can also act as a nice lock-out method in case your unit gets stolen, preventing the thief from using the PSP.
If you think you need the extra protection, download this program and try it out. Be advised that this could potentially brick your PSP if misused, so go over the instructions in the Read Me file before doing anything.
