Massa84 has updated his PSP Universal Remote to version 1.1. PSP Universal Remote is a universal remote controller program, with which you can use on your PSP, to turn it into a universal remote controller for lots of IR controlled devices. In this new version, massa84 has fixed some bugs and added a little new functions to the program:
Solved bugs:
- automatic open of certain files in some folders
- opening of the file philips RC-5 that crashed the psp
- minor fixes
New features:
- Nothing except that if you use very often a remote you can copy the txt file and put it in the folder WITHOUT the % named controller.txt so it will be opened at the startup

Portable VNC Portable VNC
zx-81 has just updated Portable VNC to v1.2. Apart from a few changes, the major update is that it now works on Firmware 2.5!
Here's a small changelog of the new release:
* Compiled / Ported to latest version of PSPSDK
* Supports 2.XX Firmware
* Add Support for DHCP
* Bug fix (crash on exit) on FW 2.XX
I'll quote zx-81 here
PC2PSP RC-1 PC2PSP RC-1
Sanguinus' explanation for his new release of PC2PSP is kind of funny when you imagine it as the opening Star Wars montage. Still, this new release defnitely deserves some praise, if only because he coded it from scratch
XBMC Controller XBMC Controller
from Ooblik:
This is a controller for XBMC. Written in C and not crappy LUA like the others.
It includes the basic controls and the ability to send messages to the XBOX.
This is an early version so it may be buggy.
Installation
1. Extract "XBMC Controller" to your X:/PSP/GAME/ folder.
2. Edit "config.txt"
Pronto Hex Codes This file contains the hex codes used by universal remote control programs iR Commander and iR Shell
PSPSSH: SSH2 PSPSSH: SSH2
is a port of the version 0.48.1 to the PSP.
This ssh client gives you a remote access to your PC (if you have a SSH server installed of course), and you can then enter commands and run scripts as if you were directly in front of your PC
PSPSSH PSPSSH
Developer zx81 is a bit busy on the Sony PlayStation Portable homebrew front recently. After configuring PSPIRC for 3.80/3.90 custom firmwares, dev zx81did the same to another homebrew project: PSPSSH.
Dev zx-81's PPSSSH is a homebrew application which lets you connect to your PC from far away
PC2PSP PC2PSP
This just in from sanguinus, the developer of PC2PSP. PC2PSP (formerly known as the Lua PC Remote Viewer) takes screenshots from your PC and sends them through Usbhostfs or Nethostfs (untested yet) to your PSP and updates them about twice a second.
Last we posted, sanguinus added a mouse control but that version appeared to have some bugs
PicoozIR PicoozIR
Have you heard of the Picoo Z toy helicopter model? Yes, that one with infrared capabilities. If you could recall from a few months back, developer pacopad turned the Sony PlayStation Portable into that toy's remote control with the homebrew app, picoozIR. Flying was a bit iffy then, but not anymore, thanks to picoozIR's version 4 and its new flying engine
Portable VNC Portable VNC
PSP homebrew developer Zx-81 dropped by the QJ.NET Forums earlier to let us in on a new version he's got ready for Portable VNC - the application that allows PSP owners to access their PC via their portable console's Wi-Fi connectivity. The latest updates for the application's version 1.2
PSPSSH : SSH2 Client for PSP PSPSSH : SSH2 Client for PSP
PSP homebrew coder Zx-81 is apparently taking a break from PSP game emulators to let us in on something equally (if not more) lucrative: PSPSSH v1.0.2.
This homebrew application is Zx-81's PSP version of Matt Johnston's Dropbear SSH2 Server and Client, which was originally built to run on a variety of POSIX-based platforms
