ZiNgaBuRgA has just released the latest version of his generic RCO editor for the PSP - it is now at version 1.10. Given that there's been some noticeably heavy XMB customizing as of late (along with the recent XMB icon packs and tutorials), we're sure the homebrew community will appreciate this bit of good news, especially given that this editor will work with about any RCO file we know. Going into changelog details:
RCO Editor v1.10
Fixed a few bugs
Other slight changes
Support for editing text - note that you can also use _longer_ text than the original!
Name change
Padding is now disabled as it seems to have no effect any more :)
As for the developer's extra comments:
Being experimental, this MAY create corrupt RCOs - ALWAYS keep a backup, and make sure you know how to recover from a brick (ie use recovery mode)
I'm too lazy to implement much validation in this release, so it's a bit unstable
ONLY use DECRYPTED RCOs (get them from the FW2.50 dump)
It seems that it WILL work on 3.10 OE! However, it seems that topmenu_plugin.rco customizations will not work, but changing other RCOs seem to work.
Make sure to view the file README for full changelog and installation details, as RCO editing can be a very sensitive task. Also make sure to check out the QJ.NET Forums to see what else the local crew have to say about this PC-based PSP app. As always, be sure to thank ZiNgABuRgA over at his forums for the effort, although we'd like to pose this questions for the guys: Anybody know which anime that babe on the screenshot is from? A reply would be greatly appreciated. Enjoy your download!
