Art from our forums has released a new version of his homebrew application, X-Flash for the PSP. X-flash is a firmware modification tool that flashes your PSP to accomplish a variety of changes to the PSP's system firmware, and so should only be used by those that know what they are doing. Here's what Art said about the program:
"X-Flash is a firmware modification program written primarily for my own use. I wanted a way to quickly apply newly discovered firmware hacks, and to automate the process of customising any new 1.50 PSP units that I might purchase in the future. Not all of the firmware modifications performed by this program are my own, but I use all of these modifications permanently on my own PSP units."
New for X-Flash V9:
* Improved useability of background changer.
* Write verification for all flash operations except when using external files.
* Functional improvements and enhancements, including a new screen.
X-Flash is a specialist firmware modification tool which flashes the PSP. Use at your own risk! Although this program has been verified to be safe on all of Art's PSP units, if you do not know what you are doing there is still a chance of bricking your PSP. Always read the readme!
