At a rate faster than some of us might change our underwear, Art's been releasing updates for his XMB "make-over" tool one right after the other. This time around, X-Flash is now flapping its features to v18j. It seems that, for the past couple of updates, Art has been focusing more on tweaking firmware support for his homebrew.
Not that we're complaining. For a developer to make his application more compatible with PSPs far and wide is quite natural - and ultimately the subject of praise from the entire community. Especially with Dark_Alex's release of 3.03 OE-B yesterday, Art's still up to the task, and has gone chaging his underwear updating his homebrew once again. For today's version update, here's what's new:
* Added intentional support for Dark_AleX 3.03 OE-B. (it's safe to use the version spoofer now).
* Preserved support for Dark_AleX 3.03 OE-A2.
* Button combination writes current PSP Nickname to use as a custom version spoof.
Ah, the niuances of multi-firmware support. Gotta love it. For those who are new to this and wish to get into the whole "pimp my XMB with icons and whatnot" bandwagon: make sure you check the readme included in the archive and follow the instructions to the dot. This application writes on to Flash and can potentially brick your system if used incorrectly.
