Despite there being a rumor about Dark_AleX's OE-B already being in progress, the rest of the homebrew dev mainstays are still trying to catch up with his highness' OE-A custom firmware release. Take Art for example. His X-Flash application that lets you tweak your firmware to allow some XMB quick fixes and edits is pretty much a well-welcomed homebrew among PSP-users. Today, he's come up with an update for it.
The biggest item on the changelog is that Art's been able to add more firmware support. Here's the full changelog for X-Flash v18i:
* Added support for Dark_AleX 3.03 OE-A' firmware version. (Also known as 3.03 OE-A2)
* Removed support for Dark_AleX 3.03 OE-A firmware version.
To check out the individual features that are supported for a certain specific firmware, Art's posted a useful chart over at our forums (link below).
Reminder: this application writes to Flash and could potentially brick your PSP if not used correctly. Please check the readme file for more information.

PSP re-map PSP re-map
Auraomega, over at our forums, has released an application called PSP re-map ALPHA. He mentions that this might come in handy for anybody who would want to re-map their PSP controllers using CWCheat, or for those PSP owners who have a dual nub mod. So how does this work?
Basically, this allows you to re-map the PSP's button using CWCHeat

As a side effect, he also fixed the issue which prevented Gpsp from going back to the HBL menu, an issue that had been here for ages

Developer's note:
I'm happy to announce a new revision of our Homebrew Loader for all PSP models (well, except the unlucky people who upgraded to 6.30).
Revision 93 is mostly JJS's work (thanks man!), with a few minor corrections from me. It improves module loading and makes HBL closer to getting network support

We've already said before that custom firmwares are the gateways of homebrew development. These achievements make it possible for other coders to come up with games and applications that will be enjoyed by the community.
Some coders, on the other hand, develop applications that improve upon the already great CFWs
