The menu screen for the Smartphone version of Mars Needs Cows has been redesigned for ease of use on Smartphone devices and now features a spaceship selector module. As with all of Astraware's Smartphone titles, Mars Needs Cows fully utilises the 5-way controller found on all Windows Mobile for Smartphone devices.
