Day Calculator for HanDBase - This will calculate the "Julian Day" for any date and will work for any valid Julian date. Calculating this number enables the user to find the number of days between 2 (or more)dates.
This is more novel or perhaps instructional than it is useful! After browsing the FAQ, I noticed a question regarding calculating the number of days since a certain date. Dates prior to 1904 are not natively supported, but by taking advantage of some of the other programming tricks noted elsewhere in the FAQ (and by use of 29 of the 30 available fields!) I found it possible to find the difference in days between any 2 dates. Data entry is straightforward, you should enter an old date before the new one and the applet will calculate the number of days between the two. The "Gregorian" checkbox should be checked for any modern date for strict accuracy of the Julian day; it can be ignored if you simply wish to calculate the number of days between any two dates after 1582! You can unhide the fields if you want to see how this works. E-mail if you have further questions.
