How to setup 'ShutDown' to a hardware button for Pocket PC or Pocket PC 2002
Setting up 'ShutDown' to be run with the press of any single button on the Pocket PC is easy and can be accomplished as follows:
Tap the start button.
Tap Settings.
On the screen should appear "Settings". In the upper-left hand corner of the screen will appear a picture of a Pocket PC with the title Buttons under it. Tap on that icon/name.
On the screen should appear "Settings:Buttons". In the Button/Assignment list, decide on a button that you wish to use to start 'ShutDown'. To select that button, tap on the title (ie "Button 1", "Button 2", etc).
Once the correct button has a highlight on it (is darkend), tap on the list under the title "Button Assignment". From here, scroll down or up until you see 'ShutDown'. Once you see 'ShutDown', tap on 'ShutDown'. The list box should now show 'ShutDown' as a selection.
Tap on OK in the upper-right corner of the screen.
You have now can press the button you assigned to run 'ShutDown'.

How to setup 'ShutDown' to a the Today Screen for Pocket PC or Pocket PC 2002
Setting up 'ShutDown' to be run with the tap of the icon on the Pocket PC is easy and can be accomplished as follows:
Download the TDLaunch Program (you can get the executible for free from http://tdlauch.dmdsoftware.net).
Install the application (follow the same instructions that you used to install 'ShutDown').
Once installed, tap the start button.
Tap Today.
On the screen should appear "Start:Today". Tap on the today banner at the top of the screen (this is the banner that shows the date).
On the screen should appear "Settings:Today". Ensure that a checkmark appears next to 'tdLaunch' in the list. If one does not appear, tap on box to checkmark it.
Tap on the name 'tdLaunch'.
The 'tdLaunch' item should be highlighted.
You will also notice two-three buttons appear usable a the top left of the screen. Tap on 'Options...'.
A new screen with the title "Settings" should appear. Tap the button 'Add' locatted at the bottom of the screen.
A "Settings" screen appears with a "Name:", "File Path:" and "Command line:" fields appear. Tap on the little '...' button that appears next to the field "File Path:".
On the screen should appear a file explorer like interface. Tap on "Windows".
Tap on "Start Menu".
Tap on "Programs".
Tap on "ShutDown.lnk".
You should now appear back to the screen as described in 11) but with the "Name:" and "File Path:" fields with data in them. Tap on OK in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
You should now appear back to the screen as described in 10) but with the 'ShutDown' appearing in the once empty box. Tap on OK in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
You should now appear back to the screen as described in 6). Tap on OK in the upper-right hand corner of the screen.
It will take a moment for the icon(s) to appear on the today screen. Once they appear, you can tap on the icon to run 'ShutDown'. You can move the icons up or down the screen by following 3) to 8) but tapping on "Move Up..." and "Move Down..." to move the presence of the icons up or down various positions on the Today Screen.
