VJPhoneTools - These tools are used with the PocketPC Phone Edition to make an SMS, Email or call from the command line.
This software is a replacement for my old tools, VJSMS and VJDialer.
This replacement is hopefully now Windows Mobile 2005 compatible. This new release features the ability to send an SMS directly, without having to write the text in the SMS editor. So you can have a link on your today screen with an icon of your better half, setup to send a message "I'm on my way". Click the icon and the SMS is sent off with no further keypresses or tapping.
These tools can co-exist with the old VJSMS and VJDialer; however, I suggest you uninstall the old versions.
VJPhoneTools installs into the directory "/program files/vijay555". Please update all old shortcuts to the new location.
Usage:
The cab installs shortcuts on your program menu to show how to use this release. Please use these to learn usage.
VJDialer is used the same as the old version,
eg: "/Program Files/vijay555/VJDialer.exe" 07812 1234567
will dial 07812 1234567
VJSMS is also used the same as the old version,
eg: "/Program Files/vijay555/VJSMS.exe" "12345" -body "I want to give you money!"
will start an SMS to recipient 12345 with text already in the SMS.
Remove the -body switch if you don't need to start with text.
VJEmail is a new tool, but predictably does the same as VJSMS but starts an email.
It assumes that you have already set up a POP3 email account on your PDA .
Syntax: VJEmail [-body TEXT]
eg: "/Program Files/vijay555/VJEmail.exe" "paypal@vijay555.com" -body "I want to give you money!"
VJSMS and VJEmail can be used to start blank SMS and Emails by just using command line ""
eg VJSMS ""
VJSMSSender provides new functionality, sending an SMS from the command line, with optional notification.
Set up a command line and then just launch it to send an sms with no interaction.
Be careful - it will send SMSs so you could end up spending cash easily.
However, notification is given, but can optionally be disabled.
eg: "/Program Files/vijay555/VJSMSSender.exe" 1234 I want to give you money!
Will send an SMS to recipient 1234 with text "I want to give you money!"
Note no " " speech marks required anywhere.
VJSMSSender will split the command line at the first space, so no spaces in the telephone number!
Everything after the first space is assumed to be a message. The message can be a maximum of 1000 characters.
On WM2003SE you will get a notification bubble that will dismiss itself after 13 seconds, if you don't click it first.
If you want no notification, use the switch -silent
eg: "/Program Files/vijay555/VJSMSSender.exe" 1234 -silent I want to give you money!
Be extra careful here because you won't know that the message has been sent!

Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging - This tweak disables the HTC messaging app, and reverts back to the original Windows messaging application, i.e. pocket outlook, for text messaging.
The tweak is reversible by just uninstalling the CAB from Settings > Remove Program. Again, you will be prompted to restart your device to effect the changes

Pocket Ping (Agang) Pocket Ping (Agang) - Pocket Ping is a program that implements the Ping function on the Pocket PC. Nothing is simpler than this little 36kb app which works on all types of Pocket PC (2000, 2002 & 2003): enter the target IP address and run the ping by clicking on Start. Contrary to Windows, the ping is continuous, you need to manually stop it

VJPhoneToggle VJPhoneToggle - This program is used to toggle the phone.
If you have worries that the phone is using up too much memory in the background, assign it to a hardware key or a shortcut.
If the phone is open, it will be closed. If it is closed, it will be opened
VJTrayLaunch VJTrayLaunch - This program is used to launch any application from the Today Tray.
VJTrayLaunch is only for launching a small number of apps. Don't use it for 15 etc (due to the 32 task limit on WM).
This is a command line application, and can be used to launch any program or shortcut
VJCandela VJCandela - Turn you phone into a super bright torch!
This program is used to permit control of the flash light on the Universal family of HTC Phones, to allow it to be used as a torch etc.
Note: this may cause damage to your hardware over prolonged periods! I don't see why it should, but use at your own risk
VJEschaton VJEschaton - This program is used to soft reset, hard reset, toggle display, toggle LEDs (possibly!) and get Uptime for your PDA.
Note: It will hard reset. Please use this carefully.

VJBlueSync VJBlueSync - This program can be used to automatically enable BlueTooth, load ActiveSync and start a synchronization through BlueTooth
VJTaskKiller VJTaskKiller - This program is used simply to kill a task by its title.
This is a command line application. It comes in two versions, one normal, one silent that won't show a message box if it can't find the application.
Usage: merely specify the caption of the window you want to close as a command line parameter.
Example usage
VJOkButt VJOkButt - This app is designed to be assigned to a hardware key or to be used with a program like SmallMenu or Xbar.
It will simulate pressing the OK button or Close button.
Note: it will close apps, not minimise them. So it can be used as a tiny taskmanager, to close tasks to save memory
VJSmallIcons II VJSmallIcons II - This little program is used, like VJSmallIcons, to change the view mode of the "Programs" program launcher built into the Pocket PC.
Please launch Programs before launching VJSmallIcons II.
There are no command line options, just a configuration menu enabled by clicking on the little icon in the top right corner
VJBigPhone VJBigPhone - This small program is used to reformat the Phone Dialer that gets all shrunk down after applying the VGA hack.
It will allow the phone to be usable in VGA mode

VJDeviceLock VJDeviceLock - This program is only for use with the new Phone Roms that provide the Today Plugin, "Device Lock".
This small program can be launched, and it will immediately lock the phone using that plugin.
I'm not sure what it's compatible with - it works on my HTC Universal, and may work on the HTC Wizard
