ZAP! - The long awaited fix for the Pocket PC is finally here! One of the most frustrating features of the Pocket PC is that tapping on the close button (upper right-hand corner) doesn't actually close the current program -- it just minimizes it, sending it to the background where it's still running, still taking up memory, and slowing down your Pocket PC. ZAP! fixes this problem by replacing the close button. Tap on the ZAP! icon and the program exits -- for real this time. Hold down the stylus on the ZAP! icon and you can quickly close ALL running programs.
Sometimes you want multiple programs running at the same time, and ZAP! makes it easy to switch between them. Simply tap on the program title at the top of the screen and a list of running programs is displayed. Then tap on the program you want to activate.
ZAP! also improves the taskbar by displaying the date above the time. And current battery and memory levels are displayed for easy monitoring. Tap on the resource icon and a complete view of all your system resources are displayed, including main battery, program and storage memory, iPAQ file store, and flashcards.
