As an example, you could assign a specific icon that you link with holidays to a holiday’s event. You will know that it is a holiday at a glance. A briefcase icon might indicate a business appointment; a shopping cart icon reminds you to go shopping.

Designed by Organize Software, the 3D Icon set includes over 450 small (12 pixel) 3D style icons and 2000 large (18 pixel) icons. The set was professionally hand drawn to include the best icons and to be as versatile as possible.
