FlashLight Colors allows you to to paint completely your PDA's screen with a color. You can also make 2 colors flashing alternatively. You can set the speed flash. In this new version you can choose any backcolor you want from multiples colors available. This backcolor will be stored in memory for the next launch. If you choose the white color, fo instance, your machine could be used as a flashlight, because it's a particularly luminous color. You can even add any sound you want. This sound will be played each time when flashing.

Backlight Control A small and simple application to control the backlight
AutoLight AutoLight - HTC Topaz (Diamond 2) auto adjust backlight function is a good idea with a not very good implementation. It must be said to HTC excuse that the light sensor is very noisy, especially at low light conditions.
Some alternatives do exist but are not very good or are Compact Framework application (not a very good idea for background application)
