If necessary you can also take a look at your current progress while training:

to mark the places of interest
The stats collected while training by VITO ActiveTrace gives you all the info you need to improve your results or hold back a little if you are doing too much progress. In addition you can select separate parts of track and check your performance at particular points. This includes:
max and average speed including speed at slopes and lifts
covered distance including slopes and lifts
time, moving time including time spent for slopes and lifts
max and min altitude
max and min angles at slopes and lifts
