MobiCop - Find It. Mind It. is an innovative, comprehensive mobile security software that protects and tracks your mobile phone in case of loss or theft. This is a hidden application that can be activated using a password. In addition to tracking your phone, MobiCop also allows you to harass any unauthorized user by playing a loud siren.
IMPORTANT NOTE 1: This is a hidden application whose icon is not visible in the application manager and can be opened only by dialing a key sequence. See details at the end of this document.
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: Scratch code referred in different places in this document is same as the registration key or license key provided during the purchase of this application.
INSTALLATION
1) Due to the nature of the application, access after the initial installation is only possible by inputting the password, which by default is #*1234, unless manually changed. The application icon will not appear in your Application Folder.
2) Once the application is opened and the basic settings are made, put it in ?hide’''''''''' mode. The application can then be opened only by keying in #*1234.
REGISTRATION
Once you install the application you will be prompted to input your details for REGISTRATION. If you do not register the software, it won’'''''''''t be functional and will only allow you to exit the application. To access the application you will first need to register it.
There are two ways the application can be registered:
o Auto Registration
o Manual Registration
AUTO REGISTRATION
Once the application is installed on the phone; you see the following options:
User Name: Maximum of 20 letters
Date of Birth: If the date of birth is 1st July 1980, Enter 01/07/1980 (dd/mm/yyyy format)
SCRATCH CODE: Provided at the time of purchase. IMPORTANT: Scratchcode is the Registration Key that is provided at the time of purchase from Handango.
Password: It can be only a numeric 4 to 6 digit code.
Confirm Password: Same password needs to be entered.
Select Mode: Two options: SMS & GPRS.
If you select SMS there are two options: Primary Gateway & Secondary Gateway.
If you select GRS it will ask to select preferred access point and to enter your mobile number. Enter mobile number in international format including country code and without the ''+'' sign.
After entering the data required; select the "Submit" option. This will register the application and it can be put to use.
NOTE: We do not keep track of the customer’'''''''''s passwords thus they need to write it down for them to remember in future. It is always advised that they keep their scratch codes as well for further reference; in case they call customer care concerning any queries on the application.
MANUAL REGISTRATION
If the Auto Registration is not successful; Manual Registration is an option you would need to avail of. There are two details that need to be entered on the Manual Registration Screen.
o Scratch Code
o Random Number
In order to get the random number; you would need to contact our Customer Support. You need to provide the Scratch code to the customer support and they will help you with the details required to proceed.
Once the application has successfully been registered; MobiCop can then be opened ONLY by keying in #*1234 (The default password unless changed. You must change this to your own password).
MOBICOP MENU
After the Application is registered on the Phone; the Menu displays ''Settings'', ''Whitelist'', ''Check for Update'', ''About Us'' and ''Help'':
Under the "SETTINGS" Option; you have:
Siren File: This option allows the user to change the siren file and select the desired siren tone.
Password: User can set the password, which will be used for accessing the application & deactivate the ?Attack Mode?. Eg: To open the application or to deactivate the attack mode dial #*1234.
Friend Number 1-2-3: This option allows the user to enter the phone number on which he/she wishes to get the SMS notification in the event of a phone loss or theft. The phone no. can be manually entered or selected from the phone book.
Note: Select mobile phone number in the above option, as in case of landlines numbers, the notification SMS will be lost. Phone number can be entered in any format for eg: 9619274188 OR +919619274188.
Lock Screen & Keypad: User can ?Enable? this option if he/she wishes to lock the screen & keypad when the phone goes in an attack mode. Enabling this option will not allow the user to use the keypad. Disabling the option will allow the user to access the screen & keypad.
Personal folders to Hide: When the user selects ?options? in the main screen, an option is provided to him/her for selecting personal folders to hide.
This option allows the user to select all personal folders which MobiCop will hide in the event of an attack initiated by MobiCop. Options-> personal folders to hide-> options-> add folder-> select phone memory or memory card-> select desired folder.
WHITELIST registers the SIM serial number of the user. If the user is using more than 1 SIM card, Whitelist allows the registration of all his SIM Cards. SIM CARD serial no. can be added by following the steps mentioned below:
GO to Option
Select Add SIM No. -> It will add the new SIM card no.
Similarly you can delete SIM no.
CHECK FOR UPDATE: This Option allows the user to download the latest version of the product from the company server. On selecting this option, the version on the phone is checked with the one at the server and if a latest update is available, it is downloaded. This would need an active GPRS connection on the users handset. The user has to select this option and select an active GPRS connection. Once this is done, the download commences. On completion of the download, the user is prompted to allow the installation. On selecting YES, MobiCop application‟s latest update is installed on the mobile.
UNINSTALLATION
If you want to uninstall / delete the Application from your phone;
You would need to:
Go to Applications/ Tools>> Click Application Manager>>Select MobiCop>>Click on Options>> Remove (without keying the password, it wont allow the user to delete application).
MOBICOP COMMAND (replace 1234 with your own password)

REMOTE SMS COMMANDS:
Attack: SMS format: #66# space attack or 1 space
. The following SMS will set the device in attack mode. In attack mode the application will retrieve the settings from Settings and it will start to hide the corresponding data & sending notification SMS to the Secondary Numbers. If lock is enabled it will lock the keypad. If siren on lock is enabled it will play siren on lock screen.
Restore: SMS format: #66# space restore or 2 space
. Will get the device out of Attack Mode and will start to unhide the data which was hidden during the attack mode.
Get Phonebook: SMS format: #66# space get or 3 space
. Application will start to send Contacts in the Phone Book in a V- Card Format to the mobile number from which the Remote SMS was sent.
Delete All: SMS format: #66# space delete or 4 space
. It will delete all the data i.e. Images, SMS, Videos, and Audio & Contacts.
