Python for S60 (PyS60) - Python for S60 (PyS60) brings the power and productivity of the Python programming language to the S60 platform. The tools enable rapid application development and prototyping, and the ability to create stand-alone S60 applications written in Python.
What's New in This Release:
· Repeat support in 4-way directional pad
· Lot of memory leaks in the interpreter code is fixed.
· appuifw.app.track_allocations can be set if the interpreter should track all memory allocations and then free the memory which was not explicitly released before application exit. To debug memory leaks in 3rd party extension modules set the value to false.
· All the Pyds that have zero UID will be assigned with the applications UID at the time of packaging. As a result, Python applications can now be symbian signed. This opens the door for submitting Python applications to OVI Store.
· Pdf documentation is available in the installer/archive.
· API cleanup in the SensorFW module.

appuifw2 appuifw2 is an external Python module for PyS60. It is based on the built-in appuifw module providing access to the S60 application UI framework and extends it with additional and improved features.

KeyLock KeyLock-Python extension that allows access to the Key Lock API which is available on all Symbian editions. It allows getting/setting the lock state (the latter with or without user notification), or to popup a note asking the user whether the device should be locked
Y-Tasks Y-Tasks is a collection of development helper tools for S60 3rd edition devices.
Y-Tasks application and plug-in modules are all self-signed, thus they are missing some important functionalities. The main server is made to implement these functionalities, which currently include process & tasks Killing and changing file type mappings with Filetypes plug-in module
Pymgfetch Pymgfetch- is an external Python module for PyS60. It is a wrapper for the Symbian C++ MGFetch::RunL function and allows you to present a selection dialog to the user, showing the contents of the mobile phone's media gallery.

LogMan LogMan-is a logging service running on Symbian phones intended for debugging tasks. The service allows one to send messages through a USB serial connection to PC. Other serial connection methods should work also, but are not supported. Infrared(IrComm), for example. On Symbian simulator, the messages are also logged to %TEMP%/epocwind.out by using RDebug logger
