Secure Google Search (SSL) - Uses HTTPS instead of HTTP. Google announced support for SSL encryption on their search page on May 21st, 2010. Note that this does not protect you from Google storing your search terms if you have that preference enabled while logged in. Also note that Google's SSL service is a bit spotty at the moment as they roll it out across their server farms - so sometimes your searches get redirected back to the regular unsecured Google homepage. Don't worry, if this happens Google does not redirect with your search terms, so they stay private.
