The game story is built around the creation of a new substance known as Mojo. The main enemy of Crash, Dr. Neo Kortex wants to have it and use it to turn the inhabitants of Wumpa islands into the army of faithful mutant warriors. Crash Bandicoot must break these plans, collecting mojo and using the subjection of mutated creatures (titans). Wumpa fruit add lives. Nina Kortex betrays his uncle and acts as a main boss in this game.
