PhoneLocator allows you to track your Android phone position, by sending a text message to your phone, with a custom word. You will receive back a text message with a link to Google Maps. If you click on the link, it will take you to the Google Maps, and show you the position of the phone. In addition to the position, you will get info on speed (you can determine if the device is moving), and accuracy of the position acquired by the GPS.
You can also set up the application, to send updates of position, depending on time, distance or movement. This way you can track your kids movement.
With this application you can even find your nearby phone, left on silent. Send a text message to the phone, with a predefined word, and it will start ringing at maximum volume.
