Installation
You need a phone with an internal GPS (for example Nokia 6110 Navigator), or a phone with Bluetooth activated and an external Bluetooth GPS receiver (for example Globalsat BT-359S). When the application starts you have to respond 'Yes' when asked to grant access to Bluetooth or the Location API, otherwise you won't be able to track your walking performance. On some phones you can change the permission for an application to 'never ask' or 'ask once' or similar.
The first time you start WalkMe and use a Bluetooth GPS, you are asked to search for the device. Make sure the GPS is turned on before you start the search and then select the GPS from the list of found devices. If you haven't paired the GPS with the phone, you are asked to enter a passcode (usually 0000 or 1234). You are also asked to enter your weight and step length to be able to calculate burned calories and steps taken.
