Mortal Kombat Advance - is a porting of the arcade game Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for a portative console from Nintendo Game Boy Advance. A set of characters of this game is the same as in the versions UMK3 on Sega Genesis and SNES. Many combinations of special hits and strikes were changed or combined. This was cuased by the fact that GBA has two buttons less than arcade machines UMK3.
The level of cruelty was decreased because of young age of gamers playing these games on GBA. Nevertheless, the game still got M (Mature) rating. All the characters, except Noob Saibot and bosses have one Fatality and one Friendship. You can unblock three secret characters after you complete one of the towers with enemies, except Novice (Beginner) tower. Smokeman will be unblocked after Warrior tower is completed, Motaro will be unblocked after Master tower is completed and completing the tower Grand Master allows to unblock Shao Khan. Set of characters and game arenas are the same as in the versions Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for Sega Genesis and SNES.
