From WiiBrew, we learn that homebrew developer SquidMan has initiated a project to completely replace the Nintendo Wii's System Menu system. WiiMU version 1.2 is the latest build to come out of the project, being capable of running alongside the Wii Menu system files while completely replacing the official interface with its own. Other features include:
From version 1.0:
* Lists all installed Channels. (Does not include those with only a ticket)
* Allows selection of the Channel to load.
* Allows return to loader.
* Allows return to real System Menu.
* Has a NAND Dumper. Thanks to Redbird who released YaWnD, I was able to add this to the release. This is NOT my code, it is Redbirds.
* Has a Main menu. Contains Launch a channel, dump NAND, return to Wii Menu, and return to Loader.
From version 1.2:
* NAND Dumper. Thanks to Redbird who released YaWnD, I was able to add this to the release. This is NOT my code, it is Redbirds.
* Main menu. Contains Launch a channel, dump NAND, return to Wii Menu, and return to Loader.
* Fixes a bug which caused PAL users to be switch to NTSC.
* (Hopefully) Fixes a bug in which 3.3 or non 3.2U users couldn't get the list of channels.
WiiMU v1.0 and 1.2 can be loaded by any decent homebrew loader application out there, so you're free to try it out even with the Homebrew Channel installed. Separate versions (v1.2 and v1.0) have been provided below for your perusal, each bundled with their own source code.
This is WiiMU v1.0.
