TalkMore saves power by dimming and turning off the backlight early while you're talking on the phone or using touch-tone menus, rather than letting it stay on as long as when you're using apps on the screen.
TalkMore commands the light to dim slightly when a call is initiated or incoming, then dims it more when the call connects, and still more after a short delay, then optionally turns the light off early. You can adjust the delays and how much the light dims at each stage (relative to your default setting in Options/Screen).
This saves power both at the beginning of a call, and also whenever you use the keypad during a call, such as for touch-tone menus. The light will come on while you're active (dimmer than normal if you have it set that way), dim quickly when you pause, and turn off quickly while you're listening to menus being read or just waiting.
Save power ordinarily wasted by light staying on too long, too bright when you have it pressed against your face.
