AquaBlocks - It's a game that takes inspiration from Tetris but adds an artistic style and flare to the gameplay. The game has underwater theme with the shapes floating upwards instead of dropping down.
As you level up the speed of the shapes increase. However, that's not all; the actual shapes that are available to you become more difficult to place due to their odd shapes.
You have the option to swap your current shape with another from the list of 5 next shapes. However, if you do so, you will incur a penalty to your score.
The game uses touch controls:
- Tap to rotate the current shape
- Drag left and right to move the active shape on the screen.
- Drag up to speed up the shape - the more drags you do the faster the shape gets, the bigger the bonus that you get.
- Tap on a next shape to swap it with the current (but incur a penalty) - this is a gameplay mechanic that could save you from losing or if abused, could give you a negative score!!!
