Triangle and Trigonometric Calculator - This calculator performs triangle computations (right and oblique) considering 19 variables, including sides (s), angles (A) in degrees or radians, perimeter (P), area (K), altitudes (h), medians (m), angle bisectors (t), inscribed circumference radius (r) and circumscribed circumference radius (R). This calculator has also the ability to draw the triangle.
· For students of trigonometry, this calculator gives you the completeness you need. You calculate values for all the 12 trigonometric functions (normal functions and their inverses). You can also draw graphs, up to 3 functions in the same graph, as well as, display tables of calculated function values.
· Triangle Computation:
Tap [1] at the page footer to display a reference drawing. In most of the cases, it's sufficient to know values for 3 variables only (see below), and all the other unknown values will be calculated. Some calculation possibilities are:
- sss
- ssA
- sAA
- ssK
- ssP
- ssh
- ssR
- ssm
- AAK
- AAR
- shh
- sKhh
- sPhh
· sAK - where the angle A must not have the same subscript as the side. For example, if s=a, then the angle A should be B or C.
· sAR - where the angle A must not have the same subscript as the side. For example, if s=a, then the angle A should be B or C.
· shR - where the altitude must not have the same subscript as the side. For example, if s=a, then h should be hb or hc.
· sPhR - where the altitude must not have the same subscript as the side. For example, if s=a, then h should be hb or hc.
To compute the UNKOWN values, 52 equations are considered. These equations are identified by an ID (00 to 51), the equation number. This way, if any integrity check is being violated, the system will inform which equation is not being satisfied. This will happen if you checkmark more known variables than necessary and there is any incompatibility among these values. For example, suppose you inform the system, as known variables, a side, an angle, the external radius and the internal radius (SARr). If their values are inconsistent with one of the equations, the system will tell you which equation is not being satisfied (see examples).
