Textecution is a user-friendly application that completely disables texting (and optionally web browsing, email, and IM) while the car is in motion. If the user is riding as a passenger, they can request permission from a parent/admin phone number with the press of a button. All application settings are password-protected to prevent unauthorized changes. If the app is removed from the phone, the parent/admin can optionally receive an SMS alert.
