A new version of Gecko Region Free has been served by Nuke, and version 1.5 is the first release targeted at Team Twiizer's Wii Homebrew Channel, says the homebrew developer. But with change comes a little hiccup on Gecko Region Free's part, and you might find some games not loading as they would have before.
For this purpose, Nuke has created two versions of Gecko Region Free v1.5 (don't get confused now), and one differs from the other by absence of patches and language modules. The No Patch (NP) variant apparently solves compatibility with a cross region Elebits scenario (PAL on NTSC), but not for an NTSC version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl on a PAL Nintendo Wii.
Still, those who won't be playing Brawl in a while will be happy to get Gecko Region Free v1.5 working on HBC, though you'll have to do a little uploading of your own to get it slapped perfectly into HBC's apps. More updates as we get them, but as Nuke doesn't own a copy of SSBB, we don't see an appropriate update on that issue in the near future.

Whats new:
1. No copy flag bit in saves now removed when copying no copy flag save games.
In previous version you could copy no copy saves but it left the no copy flag bit in the save so unless you used a Hex editor you couldn't copy the save game back to your Wii. Now this bit is removed when you copy the save over. Thanks Kenobi for this patch
