The WiiCR video player for the Wii just got an upgrade. The team behind this handy little app is announcing the release of version 0.3.1.7, which should host some improvements over 3.1.6. For the guys still uncertain about what this app does, it turns your Nintendo Wii into a multi-format video player - a feature we're sure the videophiles among you would love to make use of. As for the changelog:

WiiCR 0.3.1.7 , WiinVi 0.8, and WiiCR Configuration Tool 0.1 can all be found in the accompanying zip bundle. As you can see, they've been doing some serious tweaking to the brew this time around. In case you experience problems with the videoplayback feature, the team recommends switching back to the more stable version 3.1.5 until they announce a permanent fix to this bug.
