Somehow, someone somewhere toyed around with DevKitPPC, and what that someone did was upgrade the GameCube toolchain kit, now at release 14, to fully support the Wii and Open Geospatial Consortium's standard - or libogc. What's more is that the new release even comes enclosed with a code template for executing a simple "Hello World" program on the Nintendo Wii.
Now other details are just beginning to materialize so bear with us. What we've learned is that the support was added after Team Twiizers came out with their Twilight Hack. We've also discovered that certain things have changed when developing for the Wii on the GameCube-oriented toolchain. This is where the Hello World template comes in - they're present to show how the coding has changed.
So those who've been familiar with the earlier releases will have to run through the sample templates and mix and match semantics and structure - get a feel of the Wii coding environment for a change. The archive is provided below, but make sure to take some primers on DevKitPPC if you're a first timer.
