wKiosk  Fullscreen web browser designed for internet kiosks. Compatible with the Mac version.
wKiosk is a web browser designed to present web-based content or run web applications in full screen mode. Mostly used for public access terminals in museums or libraries, wKiosk can also be installed in the office lobby of a company or an organization.
wKiosk was developed with the intention to create a browser that would provide the same ease of use as other browsers, while adding maximum security and protection from user interference.
wKiosk has a wide range of functions which will allow you to customize your kiosk application to suit your professional needs and requirements. All you have to do is to decide what content you want to display and leave the rest to wKiosk. No programming skills are necessary. Configuring it can be accomplished within a couple of minutes.
The default settings of the iPad version are limited but if you enable the slave/master mode, you can apply almost all settings of the Mac version.
Let's take a closer look at an example of a powerful kiosk deployment. First, you install many iPads inside a wall or a kiosk (in order to disable physical access to all the iPad buttons). Then, you add a Mac at the same location in a hidden place. On this Mac, you install wKiosk for Mac running as a master and you setup all your preferences. On all iPads, you select the master. At the end, all iPads are slaves and will connect automatically to the master. iPads will read / apply the same preferences than the Mac version of wKiosk.
It's a very powerful and efficient solution to install ten or hundred of iPads at the same location!
