WordUp! for DS Superpanic has released WordUp! a homebrew puzzle game for the DS. In WordUp!, gamers use the stylus to connect letter into English words. A word must be at least three characters long and they can be horizontal, vertical and diagonal. They can also read forward or and backward.
Once blocks are correctly connected to form a word they will disaper form the screen. If a column of blocks fill up the screen, the game is over. The game contains two game modes, WordUp! which is an open ended game. The other mode, Arcade features a level progression.
Superpanic says this version of WordUp! has a few missing features:
* The game sound effects is orking but the music is missing
* "Options" under the menu does not work yet
* No pause function button (to pause the game closethe lid of the DS)
* No filesystem for saving high scores and tje scores are reset on reboot
The game works on emu, but contains some alpha and scaling effects. Also, he says it it feels a lot better to play on hardware due to the stylus controls.
