Energy Saver for Kyocera 7135 is a program that saves battery life on the Kyocera 7135.
One of the major shortcomings of this phone is that it searchs forever if it has no signal, which causes a serious battery drain. In order to save battery, the 7135 should turn itself off after a preset amount of time with no signal. A while later, it should briefly turn back on to see if signal has returned. This process should repeat until the 7135 gets signal, at which point it should stay on. This should save a lot of battery in cases where the phone has no signal for an extended time period. This functionality is exactly what the Energy Saver app does!
Another drawback to the Kyocera 7135 is that the backlight is on while a phone call is active. This is a significant waste of energy because the screen does not normally need to be on during a call. This program has a configurable option to turn off the backlight during phonecalls. The time between the start of the phone call and when the backlight is turned off is now configurable.
