InfusiCalc is a drug dose calculator which can be used for both continuous infusions or bolus drugs given parenterally. Very applicable to Critical Care/ICU, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Paramedical and Retrieval Medicine.
Its purpose is to allow:
Calculation of flow rates of infusions in mls/hour based on other basic units such as mcg/kg/min. A large range of "prefixes" (nano to Giga) and mass types (gram, units, moles, equivalents) are availalable.
Calculation of bolus doses in absolute dose terms or volumes based on weight based dosages (eg mg/kg to mg to mls)
The storage of standard concentrations of solutions and normal ranges of doses, to facilitate preparation of solutions and choice of rates.
Store notes on each drug, and information on routes of administration, frequency of dosing, maximum doses and any special requirements.
The conversion of different doses and rates from one type to another.
