Learning Spanish - Shopping in Spain - Exploring somewhere new inevitably includes sampling the local shopping and leisure amenities. In this module we will be looking at some situations associated with browsing the shops, purchasing goods and conversing with sales personnel, where vocabulary for items of clothing or food may come in useful.
Method
You will follow a series of scenes involving an English couple on holiday in Spain. Each scene includes contextual access to vocabulary, phrases, verb tables, mini tests and language translation to aid your learning experience.
Scenario
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis are staying in a self-catering apartment in La Manga. During their stay they go to the supermarket to buy supplies for the week, visit a department store to find presents for their family, and take some friends to see a Flamenco show. The couple also visit a post office to send some postcards and enquire about local places of interest.
