Meat and Poultry Reference Freezer Storage for HanDBase - Shows the time limit for safe storage of meat and poultry in the refrigerator and freezer. Times based on Food and Drug Adminstration Food Code.
Can be used in any home, restaurant, or health care facility. The most important measure in ensuring safety of refrigerated foods is keeping track of perishable foods and knowing when to discard them. All food should be dated when they are pinto into the refrigerator or freezer, perishable foods should be discarded on a routine basis, and refrigerators and freezers should be cleaned on a regular basis.
