DateBookCat is a small FREEWARE utility to help you assign categories to DateBook records.

In addition you can have a good overview of all events in the database and quickly delete any of them.

Repeating events are shown first (in the order they are stored in the database). Non repeating events are shown in chronological order.

The built-in DateBook application does not support categories. But in fact all PalmOS databases have category support.

The most popular DateBook replacements (Agendus aka ActionNames and DateBk) support DateBook categories.

The use of DateBookCat is very easy. There are two operating modes: "Move to" and "Delete".

In the "Move to" mode you can select a destination category in the bottom of the screen (to the right of the "Move to:" button). Any event you tap on will be assigned this destination category.

In the "Delete" mode you can quickly delete any event. Use this with CAUTION: Other than usual in PalmOS applications you will NOT be asked if you are sure to delete the item you tapped on. Also: if it is a repeating event all occurences will be deleted.
