DrumMe DrumMe. Yup, that's the bold invitation for you coming from NeX's neat homebrew application for the DS. Basically, and as the name suggests, it's a synth and rhythm app that will provide you with your very own drumkit. Or something close to that.

The "drum package" includes two crash cymbals, two snares, and three kick on the touch screen. According to NeX, it's now got a decent GUI, and you won't have to worry about downloading it, too. It will be loaded onto your RAM so it should be easy for you to boot and remove it.

Oh, and an awesome suggestion as well: get some headphones, a rubber stylus or big speakers to better appreciate DrumMe. Rock on!

TabbedTabbed
Tabbed No messing round here, because I've got something huge. It's a drum machine. I always fancied jamming along to some slick beats, throwing a few chords around, climbing the fretboard in a frenzy of off the wall improvisation, but I never really got round to it because the whole effort sounds empty without a backing beat
XylophonoXylophono
Xylophono The folks over at Dev-fr.org homebrew community has something interesting going on. Last month they started a music-themed homebrew game/application competition, with a twist: the entries have to be "silly" in nature. The competition managed to garner a handful of kooky entries, and we're going to sample three of them in this article
