  DiagnoSe Spinal, who won this year's NeoFlash Spring coding competition for his Sensitive DS homebrew game, has released the first version of his homebrew app, DiagnoSe. As implied by the name of the homebrew, it allows you to diagnose your DS system on its many functions. The cool thing about it is that the interface actually mimics that of the Wii menu channels.

With your stylus, you can click on each "DS Channel" to test your DS hardware. Now although there isn't any readme, the application works quite simply. If you can't tell from the icon of each DS Channel, here's the list functions from top left to bottom right and what they specifically do:

* Test Buttons
* Test Stylus
* Test Wifi
* Boot GBA
* Test Microphone
* Test Speakers
* Fix stuck pixels
* Test screen lights
* Test motion card/pak/mk6 motion
* Test rumble pak
* Test DLDI FAT
* Credits

Very useful app, especially those pixel-fixing and microphone-testing features. It suddenly makes me wonder why Nintendo never incorporated these features in the DS menu to begin with. Yeah, you can calibrate your stylus on the menu, but thanks to this homebrew, you can do a lot more than that. By the by. Those two blue buttons at the botton allow you to go back to the main menu and turn off your system.

memtestARM This DS homebrew program runs a diagnostic test on the RAM in a SLOT-2 accessory connected to your Nintendo DS system. It uses RAM Unlocking API by Lick to see what kind of accessory (or "RAM pak") you are using, and then it writes various bit patterns to RAM (much like memtest86) to make sure that RAM can hold them.
