Okay, FreePlay's been busy putting together a minimal SKD for BD-J development, and he's generously shared it to the rest of the young PS3 homebrew community.
What this release brings you is basically everything you'll need to get started, save for a couple of things:

Minisplit Works on All OSes, Splits Large PS3 Backups
Large PS3 backup files can be a pain. This universal OS tool will split and merge them together for you!
As most of you hardware junkies already know, the FAT32 drive format cannot accept files bigger than 4GB

To go along with the previously released Mortal Kombat mod digitaloverdose has release the MKScriptBinary Estractor tool.A This lets you have easier access to edit StringBlocks of characters and MKTweakVar lets you mod the variables that are associate with each character or NPC.
