QJ.NET Forums member kompas has pointed us towards an experimental PS2 homebrew loader for the Sony PlayStation 3 developed by PS2 homebrew developer Hermes.
The app is called PSXLoader. It's still very much in the preliminary stages of development and can only be used to run Hermes' Guitarfun and PS2Reality Mediaplayer homebrew apps

When you start a PSX game, multiMAN will check if the game requires ps1emu or ps1netemu. There is a list of 160 games which seem to require ps1netemu to be used
PS3 FW 3.50 downgrader for E3 Card Reader
This is a PS3 Downgrade firmware for the E3 Card Reader that lets you downgrade any PS3 running firmware 3.50 to 3.41 or earlier. Note that you also need a modified PUP (PS3 firmware update) to downgrade

* ds3drv_1.02 - Normal Driver
* ds3drv_dx_1.02 - DX Driver
* SDDriverSetting - Utility to tweak some settings
* ForceFeedbackDriver - Rumble Driver, you need to install the first or second driver first before doing this.
Installation:
* Download either the normal or DX driver.
* Plug in your DS3 to your PC
