While waiting for the next custom firmware coming from Dark AleX and Team M33, there's one based on the official Sony PlayStation Portable firmware 3.93 that surfaced which appears to be a functional alternative. Only known as CFW 3.93, it's said to be rooted in M33's work and gives credit to usual CFW contributors

Well, after the 2.71 news update, we finally have the 2.7 upgrade eboot. We've already documented the new features in the earlier article. I'll still just go thru the new 'features' if you can call them that

We just got word from badrix that the Playstation Portable 3.00 Firmware Manual has been posted up on Sony's site. The manual details some of the mundane details for your typical firmware update, however there are a few hot topics in there which demand attention
PSP Firmware 3.02 JP
We don't really know what's the deal with Sony lately, but it seems like they're trying to release firmware updates almost every week. We really wouldn't mind that, if it wasn't for the changes or rather, the lack of them in every update. Just like the last one, the new firmware 3.02 offers nothing but "Security updates"
PSP Firmware 3.11
Sony has just released Firmware 3.11 for their PSP handheld. This update fixes the freezing bug found in the downloadable-for-PSP title R-Type.
Apart from the bug fix, we don't have any details yet on what security patches are included in the new firmware (if there are any, that is). You can download it now, or better yet, wait until 3

The PSP system software version 3.51 update (with v 3.50) includes the following:
