For those of us who couldn't get enough of the Green Marine Dude's bloody adventures with the original Doom, Chilly Willy is here with the latest edition of his homebrew port of ADoomPPC for the Sony PlayStation Portable, Doom for the PSP, with version 1.1. As we all remember from the previous version, ADoomPPC is one of the more stable Doom conversions for the Amiga that has a GUI from where you can fiddle around with the game's major settings before playing.
Let's look at what's changed with this update:
v1.1 - 2007/10/29:
* Fixed problem with strafing and turning at thesame time.
* Big cleanup of the controller handling code in general.
* Added ability to disable the analog stick and to calibrate it.
* Added two forms of cheats.
* If there is no default settings file, or if the default doesn't specify the main WAD file, it now tries to set the main WAD to the shareware WAD (idiot compensator).
And as with all homebrew releases, everything you need to know regarding installation and gameplay is in the bundled readme file, so be sure to give it a once-through before doing anything else.
