Unusual. It's a word that can best describe Taichi1082's entry to NEOFLASH's Summer Coding Competition called Escape. Now before you assume the negative, let me just point out that unusual means not ordinary.
The object of the game is to escape the room that you are in, using objects found in that room. If you're familiar with the series of popular flash games over at Takagism like the Crimson Room, then you already have an idea of how this game works. If you don't, a tutorial is provided on the main menu. Controls are fairly simple. All you have to do is hover the cursor over an object you want to check out and press X. A description of whether the object is of any help will pop up upon doing so.
Visually, the game is also a different breed from other homebrews. Photographs are used in place of artworks, commonly found in other homebrews. Others may think that this is an easy way out for making time consuming graphics, however, we feel that it reveals a new avenue that homebrews could take.
The game has a lot of surprises in store for you, like very, very unusual ways to escape, especially in the last level, but I won't let the cat out of the bag yet, you'd have to try the game yourselves.
Thanks and best of luck to taichi1082!

Eskema from our forums has just released a new homebrew game, Biohazard. It's a 2D adventure game based on the Biohazard/Resident Evil series. And although the game is still in beta, there shouldn't be any major things to worry about. I've tried the game out and it's fun.
There is one small niggle though. The control response is a little slow
