Homebrew developer becus25's custom firmware wouldn't be called IE (as in "increasing edition") if it doesn't get update regularly, right? Right. So with that said, let us all welcome Custom firmware 1.62 IE A Update2. And we're telling you now, this is way better than the first update.
According to the coder, the bugs and issues present in the past release had been isolated already and Update 2 should cause no more bricks. And in the very unlikely event that you do brick your PlayStation Portable (PSP) unit, all you have to do is perform the recovery function. But be sure that you have downgraded or have the official update of Sony in "ms0:/psp/game/ierecovery".
We've already posted Custom firmware 1.62 IE A's general functions and recovery functions from our last report so don't forget to read that first. The only thing added, which is very important mind you, is the addition of better security and the flasher.
Before you use this application, be sure to check the Readme file as well as the To Install file that come with the download. It never hurts to be doubly sure, you know?
