We have a treat for homebrew developers today as we have word from Red_Squirrel that a new version for RSPsar Dumper is now available for download. The developer mentions that the latest build is a derivation of the classic PSar Dumper app, which now carries an executable file for easier installing on to your PSP.
RSPar Dumper version 2 still makes use of its USBHostfs features which allows you to read eboot directly from your PC's hard disk and dump any firmware contents there. This is definitely useful for those who want to study what's inside your firmware without having to look through your memory stick.
In any case, here's a list of features in the complete changelog of the application since our previous coverage:

* Deleted HelldashX prxs that violated Sony Copyrights

* Possibility to extract and decrypt files from the 3.80 Official Updater Eboot.

Please note that version 2.1 no longer supports custom firmware 3.80 M33 since the .prx files needed to run it come from a licenced copy of HellDashX's own Psar Dumper.
Make sure to install the appropriate version of the custom firmware running on your PSP handheld. Here is the AVEC GPS V8 release. I haven't touched it for a while. This one has greatly optimised projection routines for much faster screen rendering. Everything else is untouched and the PSP clock speed is still the default 222MHz.
Both serial GPS and PSP-290 USB GPS versions of the program are updated and included in the zip file.
