And the holiday cheers definitely ain't over at our forums! Art has just uploaded his X-Flash V18c (Multiple Firmware Support), and we here are hosting it just for you! And we thought we've seen the last of it, huh?
For those of you just new in the scene, particularly those who just entered the wonderful world of PSP homebrews (thanks to their Christmas money), X-Flash is actually a firmware modification program written by Art to make his application of firmware hacks a lot easier. Self-serving, you say? Well, he's sharing it, ain't he?
Anyway, it's also used to automate the process of customizing any new PSP units that may fall in your hands in the future. Although not all of the modifications are his own, he does use all of these mods on his own PSP units (operative term: PSP UNITS--how many does he have, we wonder?).
Now, what you can find here are some fixed bugs, ie. the one in Auto Restore routine for 3.02 OE that wrote individual 01.bmp to 12 .bmp files instead of the 3.02 consolidated .bmp file. Also, the V18c checks for, as well as deletes, the individual background files if present in a 3.02 OE firmware installation. Here as well is the first 3.02 OE All Version Firmware Spoofer implementation.
Apart from 3.02 OE, this also works for 1.50 and 2.71 SE. There's really nothing like spreading the holiday spirit of giving, eh?
Thanks, Art!
Oh, and be sure to read the manual in the file, which you can download here. Also, keep it posted in the forums for additional notes.
