With the latest version of LuaPlayerHM soon to be released by homebrew developer homemister, those proficient in Lua can give themselves a headstart by downloading the drivers to the upcoming version 8 of the application. More casual Lua users don't have to worry about missing out on anything since the dev mentioned that the new drivers will be included in the official release of the program.
The main purpose of the released drivers is to give developers the chance to incorporate their own code into the various prx files. In addition, they were designed for easier access to all Lua-based games since the drivers are already rooted into the PlayStation Portable's flash1.
To make use of the drivers, just copy all the LPHMDinstaller folder found in the file bundle into your handheld's 4.xx or 3.xx kernel folder. The developer also included some very detailed functions for the different drivers and how they can be integrated into their own code.
For more information regarding this release, you can check out the Readme file found in the file bundle. You can also discuss LuaPlayerHM and its drivers by dropping homemister a line on the PSP Development forum, accessible through the link below.

Hi,
Here is a new version, which fixes some bugs, and which adds support for lots of libraries included in Ruby's stdlib. I added bigdecimal, digest, fcntl, stringio, strscan, zlib, enumerator, thread, and nkf. Of course, more libraries can be used, since some of them depend on the ones I added
