PSP homebrew developer, Yongobongo, stopped by our forums to share to us version 4b of his creation, yPaint. This version is actually a port to firmwares using eLoader or 2.71 SE, it should also work for FW1.00, but bear in mind that this is not K-Xploited. If you're a loyal FW1.50 user, you should stick to using yPaint v4a. For the uninitiated, this app is a drawing application for the PSP, which is perfect for people who like to dabble on some artistic activities while on the go.
yPaint, according to the dev, is an all-in-one image editor which would allow you to save and open images for editing. It features a full color selection tool, line lengths, and an in-development GUI. Now that the trip down memory lane is over and your memories are now refreshed, let's jump to the new features of yPaint v4b.
New Features
* File browsing - Went from a Text-Based Opener (type the name, it opens it) to a fully featured File browser for Opening PNG files Thanks to Fuzzie 360's AWESOME LowserLIB. I have modified it to support JPG and TGA loading as well, all credit to Fuzzie!
* Multiple Format Saving Menu - Ah, this is also awesome! Press circle and a little menu comes up asking you which format to save the image as. Either TGA, JPG or PNG! Saves it to PSP/PHOTO and it tells you whether the save was successful or not
* Bug Fixes - Self explanatory
New for yPaint v0.4b
* Now compatible with all eLoader versions and 2.71 SE!
* New intro screen (better looking)
Future plans for yPaint v5
* Save As option with file name renaming support
* Circle tool
* Text Input tool
* Send pictures via IR port, or copy to memory stick
