  4^2 (Four-square)Developer coolguy5678, also the creator of the Unofficial CSPSP Editor, visited the QJ.NET Forums earlier to announce the release of 4AČ. As its name implies, this homebrew is a PSP port of the popular Four Square ball game some of you may remember playing.

There are four players to this game, with each getting assigned a square. Your objective to try to hit a ball as soon as it bounces once on your square into the square of another player. If you make a mistake, you're out, and the player from a lower square than you moves up to take your place. A new player than takes the bottom-ranking square.

The highest ranking square is the king square, which is located on the top left of the screen. You'll be playing as a blue player, and you'll actually earn double points if you managed to fight your way to the top two squares. As for 4^2's controls:

* Use the analog/or d-pad to move.
* Hold X to charge up your shot.
* Release X when the ball is near you to hit it.

The ball will travel in the direction your player's cone is pointed. Timing your charge is important, as releasing X while the ball is still far from your sprite will cause it to travel much slower.

Further details on controls and the game rules are available in the file bundle's readme. You may also want to visit coolguy5678's release thread at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forum if you're interested in posting your feedback.

Super Tomato Numbers Game for FW 1.5 STG 001 I guess its true what they say, not to judge a book by its cover. Or in this game by themouton's case by its cuteness. I don't want to sound like gushing high school girl, but graphically this is a good looking game. Let's start with the menu screen. I was so taken by the cute tomato animation

1...1001...100
1...100 Every so often, one needs to get those mental gears spinning. One good way to exercise your neurons is with a puzzle game, such as the one French homebrew developer bobthetouriste has designed for the Sony PSP Slim and Lite: 1..100 for custom firmware 3.71 M33. 1...100 is bobthetouriste's first homebrew puzzle game, and it is coded in the lua language

Block beta Member of the PsPmad team (they're the one who did the I've Been Looking For Frieda surfing game) and regular forum-goer imhotep (hey, isn't that the Egyptian guy from... oh, wait) just released a rather puzzling homebrew - puzzling in the sense that it is a puzzle game. In the developer's own words, Block is "an isometric robot puzzle game

Laserix 2Laserix 2
Laserix 2- I really wanted to play Laserix 2 again on my 5.00 M33 slim -- Its one of my favorite homebrew games ever on the PSP. So I did a quick port of Laserix 2 to PGE (Pheonix Game Engine) the past few days. Since the game was implemented originally in Lua, this was not too difficult. It should run fine on all custom firmwares, greater than 3.xx phat or slim
